The Odyssey Bookshop is one of five independent
bookstores participating in WAMC's Roundtable on Tuesday mornings,
just after the 10:00 news. People from the Odyssey will be on about once a

Introducing The Looking for special books for your children or grandchildren, nieces or nephews, or any other children in your life?Now you can give the gift of reading and imagination throughout the year. (Get this in PDF format) Sign up a child for the new Send-a-Book-a-Month-to-a-Child-in Your Life Club, and each month, we’ll send him or her a great new book selected by our staff of professional booksellers. We’ll even giftwrap it for you and put your name on the card.
We have three book categories:
Picture Books. For kids ages 4 to 7. Picture books contain stories that are both beautifully told and beautifully illustrated, just right for kids who still love being read to as well as for those who are beginning to read.
Here’s how it works: Enroll a child and give us his/her pertinent information on the registration form. We will bill your credit card monthly when the book is sent out. Books will be newly published, within the past several months, and any book can be returned for an exchange or credit on a future purchase. The typical charge, including shipping, will be between $10-$20, but the cost will never exceed $25. We will gift wrap the book and enclose a card indicating who the book is from. (We’ll also add a special message, such as Merry Christmas or Happy Birthday, when appropriate.) |
Board/Cloth
Books. For infants to kids ages 2 & 3. Perfect for
little hands, these books can be read to very young children and introduce them
to the world of books and reading. They can also withstand rough treatment, so
they’ll last a long time.
Pre-teen
Books. For kids ages 8 to 12. From fantasy to
adventure, these books are for children who can read independently.
