Events

The Odyssey Bookshop hosts over 125 author events each year. These range from fiction readings of our First Edition Club selections to non-fiction discussions about books of great social importance. Hosting events and working with community organizations along with local schools and colleges is a fundamental part of the store's identity and something we're proud to bring to our readers.

We now charge for attending most adult author events at the Odyssey. The cost will be a $5.00 ticket, Event Bucks, which will allow you into the event and are redeemable for merchandise in the store.

Things to know about Event Bucks:  $5 tickets are also coupons good for $5 off a purchase at events or at the Odyssey Bookshop. It can be used to purchase the book that is being promoted, or anything else at the Odyssey, either that day or on a future visit. Coupons do not expire. They cannot be used for online purchases, event tickets, or gift certificates.

As with all things there are exceptions to the new required Event Bucks tickets. Children's events do not and will not require the purchase of tickets. Children and students, with valid I.D., do not require the purchase of Event Bucks tickets. For specific readings please note under the listing for each event whether or not attendance requires the purchase of an Event Bucks ticket.

Please note we are unable to take reservations for events held outside of The Odyssey Bookshop, i.e. on the Mount Holyoke College campus.
