for early course book orders

Early course book orders make everybody happy.

First, early orders translate into more money paid to students for textbooks sold back to us. If a student sells back a book that you have ordered for the fall, she will typically get 2-3 times as much as she will if the book has not been ordered yet.

Second, early orders make the bookstore happy, because we have sufficient time to research books and acquire a great supply of used books. The later we get book orders, the greater the possibility will be that a book will be out of stock at the publishers and at the used book wholesalers.

Finally, it will make you happy because it will mean that you won't have to think about getting your order to the Odyssey and you can ignore all these messages from Neil.

Book Scholarship Incentive Program.

As an incentive for you to get your orders in on time, we have created a raffle prize which will be awarded to a student of your choosing. Here's how it will work.

1. Get your book order to the Odyssey Bookshop by the start of final exams, and your name will be entered in the raffle. (Your name will entered once for each course order you submit.)

2. The drawing will be held after exams. If your name is selected, you will be asked to identify one student in your department who will receive a gift certificate from the Odyssey for $125.00. Two such prizes will be awarded. (If you would prefer not to name a particular student, we can award it randomly to a student who has participated in buyback. It's that simple.

3. The gift certificate can be used for anything in the store, including course books.
